kUAYUE
Kuayue Song Composing Concert is a platform encouraging university students to perform their original songs in various ways. It provides precious experience for all university students to perform on stage.
In Mandarin, the meaning of "Kua" is to step forward, symbolizing that we will overcome all the obstacles and challenges, improving the quality of this concert each year. We will step beyond the limitations and are determined to bring various types of music performance to our supporter, promising the best visual and auditory enjoyment to the audience.
Meanwhile, "Yue" here stands for music. It is also a homophonic word which means “Take a Leap” that is relevant to our main objective which is to promote the creative culture in the music industry regardless of the existing barriers.
Objective
1. To broadcast Kuayue in local music industry in gaining recognition and acknowledgement.
2. To encourage music composing within university students.
3. To cultivate the development of brand new ideas and interest towards music.
4. To promote ethic relations through music.
Vision
1) To popularize Chinese music in various genres.
2) To provide a platform for university students to present their self-composed songs.
3) To provide an opportunity for our university students to be involved in the preparation of a large-scale concert.
4) To showcase our university students' artistic talents through the event.
5) To improve the performance quality brought by the singers, musicians, dancers, and emcees.
6) To offer a platform for our university students to exchange ideas, values and aesthetic towards music.
7) To enhance the interaction and team-building skills of university students.
